Summary:
This paper presents a study of the accuracy of conventional earth resistance measurements when applied to extended earthing systems of cylindrical shapes. We conclude that the conventional Fall Of Potential method provides a systematic overestimation of the earth resistance, while the slope method provides the most accurate results.
